Kabkab Dates taste is very delicious sweet and full of syrup and that is Most important characteristic of them. Kabkab dates are amongst the most important and abundant date varieties in south Iran. Kabkab dates are considered a wet variety of date due to their high mosture content of around 18%. They are long, oval and around 3.5-4cm in size and vary from yellow to dark brown in colour depending on ripeness. Kabkab dates have a soft, fine texture and and a hard skin due to their long, grey pit that clings to the flesh. As a wet date fruit, Kabkab can be kept under normal room temperatures for about 6 months with interim fumigation. Refrigeration is not required, but keeping Kabkab dates in a dry and cold environment will mean they keep for longer. it is a high-grade date that can be grown in the more tropical cities of Iran. It is considered one of the premium varieties of date, cultivated to the highest of standards.
